THE SALVATION ARMY-WI /UPPER MI DIV Pantry Coordinator in MANITOWOC, Wisconsin

Manage pantry programs in accordance with The Salvation Army mission, protocol, and procedures and works within food pantry budget. Oversee food pantry operations which includes but is not limited to sorting, storing, displaying and distributing food products and maintaining a current inventory of food on hand. Maintains pantry and storage areas in clean and orderly condition. Ensure food is handled and stored in a manner consistent with applicable TEFAP regulations. Using the inventory and considering clients preferences and needs, work with local food banks to order and/or purchase food and advise the Community Engagement Specialist or Corps Officer regarding purchase of items to be distributed. Perform opening and closing procedures for food pantry in keeping with schedule established by Community Engagement Specialist and Corps Officer. Train, schedule, and supervise volunteers working in pantry. Check in food pantry clients in accordance with TEFAP data collection requirements. Assists clients with shopping for all groceries, frozen items, produce, and personal hygiene items. Perform daily checks of freezers to ensure they are running efficiently and proper temperatures are maintained and logged. Create and maintain accurate and timely records, reports, and statistics for food pantry programs. Complete all paperwork on clients and enter into Service Point. Handle all TEFAP data information and make sure it is inputted into the correct databases. Record all statistics that are required for reporting to DHQ and the State. Collaborate with other pantries in the community. Schedule pick up of food at local stores and restaurants. Solicit the donation of food from local businesses. Ensure that stock is rotated regularly. Refer client to Community Engagement Specialist if any other services are needed. Plans, coordinates, and attends food drives and related events benefiting the pantry.
