In this capacity, you will act as the global, world area, or business unit (BU) Contracts Lead for Global Strategic Accounts. This gives you a very vital role in helping drive growth platforms and supporting operational pillars while striving for long-term value creation.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• To review, draft, and negotiate agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies and legal and ethical standards.

• To take the Contracts Lead role on complex international and multi-BU project contracts and complex frame agreements (multi-BU and -WA).

• To collaborate with customers, vendors, members of the legal team, and other Emerson partners to bring deals to closure.

• To analyze business, financial, and legal risks.

• To research information on existing agreements and contractual programs, assisting with analysis and compiling data for reports.

• To provide contract-related guidance to sales, project management, procurement, and other collaborators.

• To participate in the approval process to assist business owners in making informed decisions and securing appropriate approvals.

You use knowledge of business drivers and how strategies and tactics play out in the market to guide actions. You provide timely and helpful information to individuals across the organization. You build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations. You can proficiently communicate ideas and influence both internal and external customers. You are interpersonally savvy and able to collaborate and efficiently work with people at any level.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

• 5+ years of work experience in a contract-related role.

• Extensive knowledge of contract law and principles, commercial provisions such as warranty, liquidated damages/penalties, payment and freight terms, documentary credits, and bank guarantees/sureties.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

• Willing to be on a fixed-term status for 6 months

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart

• Completion of IACCM Advanced Contract and Commercial Management (CCM) Practitioner and IACCM Oil & Gas Contracting in Practice is strongly preferred.
