Material Associate II
Position Summary
The Materials Associate II will receive, unpack, verify, and store raw materials. Issue raw material to job routers and deliver to appropriate work areas. Maintain movement of subcontract production parts returning from vendors. The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet’s principles of continuous improvement, customer-driven innovation, and a win-first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics.
Principle Responsibilities
Receive raw material and production parts and enter receipt into computer
Document and move material within the plant
Issue raw material to job routers and deliver to production units, documenting receipt in computer
Perform weekly cycle-counting to ensure material counts are correct
Deliver received items to specific areas or people within the manufacturing plant
Other functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisor/manager
Operate stockroom equipment like a forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker.
Qualification Requirements
Credentials/Experience:
High School diploma or general education diploma (GED).
Minimum of one to two years of related work experience in manufacturing environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
Receive raw material and out-vend production parts
Enter receipt of raw material and deliveries into computer
Issue raw material to specific job routers and production units
Perform weekly cycle-counting to ensure material counts are correct
Deliver received items to specific areas or people within the manufacturing plant
