ACE Group is a seeking a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Systems Engineer, Journeyman, to support our NAVAIR customer.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The FMS Systems Engineer will oversee the technical and engineering effort related to fielding of a weapon system to FMS customers. This will include integration of the weapon system with FMS platform and launch systems as well as execution of qualification, safety, program protection, performance, and testing to ensure all system requirements are satisfied. The systems engineer will help balance requirements and expectations between the FMS and Domestic organizations. The Systems Engineer shall possess experience with NAVAIR weapons and/or aircraft system development; FMS experience is desired.
The candidate must be an experienced systems engineering professional that is highly motivated and capable of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The candidate will work closely with other engineers and scientists to solve complex technical problems and act as a strategic adviser regarding all elements of the project. The candidate must be a team-oriented self-starter with the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, resolve conflict in a constructive manner, and produce quality products efficiently.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Administer and lead technical interchange meetings, working groups and design reviews.
Monitor contractor and vendor performance relative to program milestones and assess timeliness of deliverables and conformance to requirements.
Support Engineering Investigations (EIs), which includes on-site support, by performing engineering analysis, testing, data review and report writing.
Support Test and Evaluation in planning flight tests, identifying data requirements, defining objectives, and generating test plans.
Resolve issues, tasks, and action items; manage, archive, and organize program-related engineering information and documentation; and utilize joint Contractor / Government best practices to vet and resolve weapon-specific, as well as system-of-system, engineering challenges with program management and logistics personnel.
Provide support for requirements management by researching, analyzing, collecting, and developing presentations to support the development of the technical requirements for the launch platforms, weapon systems, and related subsystems they will be supporting.
Provide system engineering expertise on system architecture, interface, and integration management.
Conduct independent technical review of program documentation.
Assist with deficiency, safety hazard and resolution management.
Oversight and coordination of configuration requirements.
Assist with tailoring the technical scope of effort for applicability to FMS requirements.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:
- Position involves frequent travel (both CONUS and OCONUS) as required by the needs of the program. Not to exceed 40 hours (one week) per month.
Requirements
(Desired)Five (5) years of recent and relevant experience. Three (3) of which must be related to performing Systems Engineering functions in support of Naval programs, to include the Systems Engineering milestones and reviews of the Acquisition process and the associated documentation.
(Minimum)Three (3) years of recent experience and relevant experience. Demonstrated knowledge in an area of engineering expertise is required.
EDUCATION:
(Desired)MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related engineering discipline.
(Minimum)BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific discipline is required.
SECURITY:
Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Active Top-Secret clearance with current background investigation is desired.
At minimum, Active Secret clearance with current background investigation is required.
Salary Description
$100,080.00 - $143,603.00 depending on experience
