AECOM Electrical Engineer in Manchester, United Kingdom

Job Summary

The Manchester office are currently looking for an ambitious Electrical Engineer to join our established team in the North West region. This is a great opportunity for a young Engineer to join a busy team working on a wide range of exciting projects across the North West, with National and International opportunities also available. The successful candidate will be a self motivated, confident individual that can also provide guidance to entry level engineers. You will be involved in all aspects of building consultancy electrical engineering including sketches, design, specifications and drawing production for all project sectors.

As an electrical engineer, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Producing detailed design information including calculations, drawings, technical reports and technical specifications

  • Reviewong the work of Junior Engineers and Graduates and provide support and guidance.

  • Considering financial implications in producing design options

  • Carrying out risk assessments and value engineering

  • Contributing and providing information for fee proposals

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy background

  • Software:

  • Trimble Amtech

  • Dialux / Relux


  • MS Office

  • Revit capabilities (preferable but not essential)

Preferred Qualifications

  • HND / Degree in building services or electrical engineering

  • Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership.
