CTTX Health Labor & Delivery RN - Travel - 12 hour nights in Manchester, Connecticut

Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel - 12 Hour Nights - $2200/ week

CTTX Health is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment. As an L&D RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients during the childbirth process. As an L&D nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and monitoring patients, assisting with labor and delivery procedures, providing education and support to patients and their families, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor patients during the labor and delivery process.

  • Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including vaginal and cesarean deliveries.

  • Administer medications and manage pain relief options.

  • Monitor and record vital signs of both mother and baby.

  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.

  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety protocols.

  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records.

  • Provide postpartum care and breastfeeding support.

  • Work 12-hour night shifts.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.

  • Current BLS and NRP certifications.

  • Strong knowledge of childbirth procedures and techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care.
