About the role The Environmental Assurance Manager is responsible for conducting assurance audits to monitor compliance with all policies and procedures, with an emphasis on environmental assurance. The position also will be responsible for assisting with the evaluation of, and reporting on, the effectiveness of training and internal controls related to operations. You may be eligible for a $500 net sign on bonus to be paid out in your first paycheck What you'll be doing Conduct on-site Environmental Assurance audits on installation teams at multiple locations Develops audit plans for all operating locations. Monitor environmental processing to ensure assurance with contract requirements. Make recommendations for continuous improvement of performance and assurance Establish standard trend reports Prepare and issue reports for management regarding operational audit findings and make recommendations to management Make recommendations for continuous improvement of performance and assurance. Provide support to Facility and Community Management, Renovations and Project Development staff regarding compliance with environmental regulations and company policies. Ensure team compliance with operational policies and procedures. Ensure all non-compliance is identified and action plans prepared for resolution in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned Typical Physical Demands: Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, controls, phones and computer keyboard. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 lbs. Typical Work Conditions: Work is performed in an office. Employee frequently interacts directly with community management, facilities management, residents and other staff members during the workday. Who we're looking for High School diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of 5 years' experience with business/operational management and/or auditing/ financial controls Have a general knowledge of property management/ facilities management/ environmental operations Have a level of competence in the operation of Software systems for work order management - Yardi experience is highly preferred. Planning/organizing - Ability to organize work, set priorities and make productive use of time. Adaptability - Ability to accept changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events. Integrity - Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Communication and Contact - Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company. Relationships with Others- Ability to work effectively and relates well with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company. The employee exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works, to maintain constructive working r lationships. Technology- Must possess a strong knowledge of various software applications to include maintenance systems that are common in the Facilities arena. Proficient use of Outlook and Microsoft products is expected. Ability to travel 50% of the time Possession of a valid state issued Driver's License and safe driving record are required.
