Responsibilities

  • Build Python applications, APIs and automation scripts on AWS environments to support data defense initiatives like classification and tagging of cloud data assets.

  • Builds automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning on AWS cloud environment.

  • Creates proof of concept for data security and classification initiatives.

  • Maintains third party solutions to help with data defense and DLP initiatives.

  • Translates technical specifications into code for complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients.

  • Writes programs, develops code, tests artifacts, and produces reports. Employs software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that supports automation.

  • Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues.

  • Explains technical considerations at related meetings, including those with internal clients.

  • Performs systems analysis activities.

Qualifications

  • Python development (including boto3) - 5+ years , AWS - (s3, lambda, CloudFormation, DynamoDB etc., ) - 5+ years

  • strong 5 - 8 years' experience in AWS solutioning and backend/API development.

  • strong AWS services experience including s3, lambda, DynamoDB, Glue catalog, CloudFormation, IAM, SNS, tags etc.

  • strong hands-on development experience in Python and Boto3 library

  • Experience in maintaining third party or custom build solutions on AWS infrastructure.

  • strong experience with CICD tools.

  • Experience with DLP tools and or Data classification efforts is a great plus.

  • Experience in Data Privacy /Governance is a plus.

  • Experience with EKS/containers is a plus.

  • strong communication skills.
