Summary of Role:

Create and optimize measurements using scanning electron microscopes (Applied Materials Verity 4i+, Verity 5i, Verity 6i and Hitachi CG5000) to support GLOBALFOUNDRIES 12/14nm and 45nm programs.

Essential Responsibilities:

Create and optimize measurements using scanning electron microscopes (Applied Materials Verity 4i+, Verity 5i, Verity 6i and Hitachi CG5000) to support GLOBALFOUNDRIES 12/14nm and 45nm programs. Focus on FINFET Transistors, Planar SOI transistors, embedded memory applications (ReRAM, MRAM) and Si Photonics applications. Collaborate with GLOBALFOUNDRIES internal customers and participate in development/manufacturing of unit process for 14nm technology and beyond. Design, execute, and analyze experiments to screen and optimize module unit process and equipment to meet technology (e.g., performance, yield, and reliability) and manufacturing (e.g., process stability, cost of ownership) targets. Work with integration and device groups in the technology development and the manufacturing teams to plan and execute projects and implement solutions on schedule. Work on various metrology tools such as Measurement SEM to develop new measurement recipes to support manufacturing & development of leading-edge processes. Support the new product ramp to high volume manufacturing. Engage with tool suppliers to highlight new module unit process requirements and evaluate new equipment solutions. Define and maintain module unit process and equipment roadmaps. Define Key Process Indicators (KPI) and take actions to drive KPI performance towards target. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) to maintain a fleet of measurement tools. Perform Gage R&R studies to characterize measurement performance and matching across a fleet of measurement tools. Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.

Required Qualifications:

· Education – Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering or a related field of study.

· Experience –Requires experience in or knowledge of: (1) Semiconductor technologies & applications (FINFET Transistors, Planar SOI transistors, Si Photonics), (2) FEOL and BEOL

integration, (3) Metrology tools (Measurement SEM), (4) Utilization of statistical process control (SPC).

Experience or knowledge may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, internship, or teaching.

Salary range: $96,688 – $ 115,000

Salary range: $96,688 – $ 115,000
