Summary of Role:

This is an engineering position within the worldwide Design Technology Enablement organization. The individual will be responsible for developing High-Voltage Wide Band Gap (WBG) device (GaN, SiC) models that will be incorporated into Process Design Kits (PDKs) to assist customers evaluate their product designs.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • An experienced individual contributor (as directed and/or independently), which will coordinate with cross-functional project/program teams, who will develop, calibrate, and validate WBG (GaN, SiC) device models, with a focus on high-voltage technologies

  • Lead proactive and synergistic interactions with the technology development, test structure/layout, testing/characterization, and PDK teams

  • Experience with industry-standard device modeling extraction software, such as Keysight IC-CAP

  • Experience with Process Design Kits (PDKs) and SPICE simulation for device model verification

  • Strong knowledge in HEMT device physics and integration/fabrication of GaN technologies for power products

  • Leads multidisciplinary projects or initiatives with high impact on the company’s success

  • Coaches and mentors experienced staff

  • Leads cross-functional teams across sites

Required Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics

  • Background in Semiconductor Device physics, Probability & Statistics, numerical curve fitting

  • Effective communication skills, both written & verbal

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics

  • Understanding of measurement systems for DC, AC, and high-frequency RF on wafer testing to characterize test site layouts, including modern de-embedding techniques

  • Experience working with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) design & simulation tools

  • Broad and deep knowledge of WBG power devices, technologies, and circuits

  • BS + 6 or more years of experience or

  • MS + 4 or more years or

  • PhD + 2 or more years

Expected Salary Range

$77,000.00 - $142,000.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
