Knowledge of New York and Federal employment laws. Personal computer and word processing ability required. Excel and Word required. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be highly organized, service and detail oriented and able to maintain confidentiality. Must have ability to set priorities, multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision. PHR/SHRM-CP Certification preferred As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided. GENERAL SUMMARY: As a strategic business partner, the Human Resources Business Partner serves as a consultant to management and staff on employee and labor relations issues and is the primary liaison between the Human Resources Department and department leaders. The Human Resources Business Partner takes an active role in employee retention, engagement and satisfaction throughout the medical center. The Human Resources Business Partner works on a daily basis to influence employee and leadership behaviors to achieve the organization's strategic goals and vision. Partners with other areas of Human Resources to ensure timely, value added services to management and employees that supports the business objectives and cultural initiatives of the organization.
