POSITION SUMMARY
Prepare ingredients for pastry preparation, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables as needed. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients accurately. Follow recipes and quality standards to prepare and cook pastries, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food preparation checklists. Prepare cold desserts and pastries as required. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, microwaves, and fryers. Test pastries to ensure they are cooked properly. Monitor food quality during preparation. Set up and break down the work station. Serve pastries in correct portions and appropriate containers. Maintain cleanliness by washing and disinfecting the kitchen, tools, knives, and equipment. Check appliance and food temperatures to ensure accuracy.
Follow company safety and security policies, reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager. Complete safety training and certifications as needed. Ensure personal appearance and uniforms are clean and professional while maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information. Protect company assets. Communicate effectively using clear, professional language. Foster positive relationships with team members, support collective goals, and respond to concerns appropriately. Ensure compliance with quality standards. Perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, and lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a related pastry role.
Supervisory Experience: None required.
Certification: None needed.
