Department Description:

The Nursing Education department supports nursing professional development (orientation, competency management, and continuing education), nursing student experiences, quality, safety, evidence-based practice and research.

Summary:

The clinical nurse educator will focus on providing leadership for the New Graduate Residency Program including the curriculum, facilitation of the Residency classes and overall program coordination. The position will collaborate with the other nurse educators in facilitating a smooth transition to practice with clinical orientation for the new graduates. The position will also collaborate with nursing leaders and human resources in selecting the candidates and facilitating the interview process. In addition to the Residency, this position will support other nursing education programs and educators (annual competency programs, nursing orientation, preceptor or charge nurse education, etc) and other duties as assigned by the ACNO of Professional Practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Training:

Master’s degree preferred

Licensure:

Current Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse Certifications

BLS and ACLS Certification, Instructor Certification preferred;

Work Experience:

5 years’ clinical experience, including 2-3 in critical care; 3 years’ education/program planning experience
