Avanade Inc. Europe Inclusion and Diversity Senior Specialist in Malaga, Spain

As an Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) Specialist, you will be working closely with the Europe and Middle East I&D Lead in a multi-faceted role that is responsible for support in driving an I&D strategy that is integrated throughout business and people processes. You will be partnering across the organization to support a shared vision, mission, and strategy to enhance I&D across Europe and Middle East at Avanade and to promote I&D initiatives. Additionally, you will partner with Accenture and Microsoft (Avanade’s parent companies) I&D teams to leverage their programs where appropriate. You will directly interface with business leadership/teams and multiple functions and processes (including wider HR, Talent Management, HR Metrics, Finance/Budget management/Vendors onboarding/Invoicing/Procurement., etc) across Europe and beyond. You will also maintain strong ties with DEI organisations in the community. Additionally, you will enable effective I&D communications (creating and updating newsletters, posting on internal communications channels, etc).

This position is based in Europe and will support Europe and Middle East related I&D initiatives but will include global collaborations too.

The role will also include work on Well-being activities and a small element of Corporate Citizenship, connecting I&D priorities with Well-being and Corporate Citizenship initiatives, helping us to make a genuine human impact for our clients and the communities we live and operate in.

What you will do

  • Contribute to the Europe and Middle East I&D strategy by helping us embed I&D into the business, execute on our plans and align I&D initiatives to key strategic pillars; monitor progress against goals

  • Engage in identification of DEI best practice and benchmarks as input to designing and implementing initiatives

  • Build exciting and effective pan-European and regional communication materials to encourage employees to be involved in various programs and initiatives (including events invites, social media posts content where relevant, etc).

  • Coordinate the execution of our learning and engagement efforts including various I&D learning programs (mentoring and development programs but also learning programs delivered by external vendors)

  • Provide support including setting up events/calls/etc, PO/invoices processing.

Skills and experiences

  • Applicable knowledge of I&D best practices/trends, especially in Europe.

  • Experience working across different HR disciplines in a global environment.

  • A collaborative team player, with cross-cultural awareness, strong business acumen, and the ability to navigate a complex matrix company.

  • Up-to-date applied knowledge of Microsoft office tools/products.

  • Positive experience working within a corporate multinational matrix both live and virtually across time zones.

  • Strong English fluency, written and verbal communications skills, with excellent active listening skills

  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to translate metrics, research and trends into strategy and improvement opportunity. Reporting/analytics experience.

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines on short time frames and under pressure with the ability to set and adjust priorities quickly.
