Job Description

The opportunity

This role reports to the Compliance Data Analytics Lead and shall be responsible for supporting compliance systems, ensuring our controls are effective and supporting the various business segments in strengthening the various compliance programs thru involvement in the design, development, and implementation of these systems.

Responsibilities

  • Understand system interdependencies and collaborate with project teams accordingly to reduce the risk of unknown impacts when carrying out design.

  • Production of high-quality technical and/or functional specifications and processes using structured analysis and data modeling techniques that translate business requirements, ideas and concepts into value added solutions and intuitive user experiences.

  • Identification and escalation of key risks, issues, and dependencies, as well as cost benefit tradeoffs among a variety of options to align with overall project and program objective.

  • Process modeling and analysis skills including but not limited to process improvements, gap analysis between current and future state along with root cause analysis.

  • Carry out impact assessment work on system design and system changes and verify that proposed solution meets the design.

  • Builds and maintains strong internal network at all levels of the organization, relationships with other counterparts within the organization. Collaborates with other compliance teams as well as technology teams to operationalize business plans and targets.

  • Works with various segments and ICS, to identify opportunities for automation, recommend areas for improvement and innovation.

What we are looking for

  • Background in Compliance such as AML/ATF, Sanctions Screening, Name Scanning, Transactions monitoring would be an advantage.

  • Knowledgeable in best-in-class processes, tools, and technology, as well as application of practical results-oriented approach to deliver value-adding solution.

  • Data analytics background would be an asset, including within risk management functions at other financial institutions (banks or insurance companies)

  • Data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, experience with other programming languages such as Python is preferred. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, database design principles, data modelling and ETL processes. Experience in implementing Azure Data Analytics solutions.

  • Understands and with ability to document and question inputs, outputs, business logic and flow of data and can identify dependencies and connectivity.

  • Able to design secure solutions that are well thought through and include both an intuitive user experience and design of interrelated systems.

  • With knowledge of financial services/Insurance operations and products

  • Experience in AML Risk Management tools and systems (e.g. Bridger, FCRM), a plus.

  • Working with new solutions and commercial off the shelf solutions
