Role reports to: Associate Director – IT, Sales Product Line
Location: Mumbai
What you will do
The primary goals of this position are, in close collaboration with the business, to define the capabilities and processes that are required in our IT product solutions and platforms, and in cooperation with other key stakeholders, to ensure that these are implemented to provide our business an exceptional speed and agility in adapting to new marketplace challenges and regulatory requirements.
Placed in the Kenvue Business Unit IT team, this position is responsible for the vision and priorities of the regional Customer and Sales IT capabilities platform. Strategic IT Product Management for commercial business: Participates in business planning, needs analysis, and business risk assessment, and consults with business partners to shape portfolio demand and determine how to best support the business through the effective use of IT technology in the commercial sector (Sales). Collaborates with other IT parties and manages strategic relationships with partners (who may be IT or the business) by representing and promoting business needs and IT capabilities and delivering world-class solutions and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Strategy
Participate with PL leadership to set a clear vision for the product and is responsible for a multi-generation product strategy for assigned products
Recommend and select IT products/vendors that are the best fit for the Kenvue business
Maximize ROI by identifying and prioritizing the product features by business value
Drive data-driven decision making and visualization in the Commercial organization
Estimates and manages financials
Business IT interface
Primary IT interface with the regional Customer Development Business for Sales capabilities such as HCP SFE, SFA, DMS, LMS, TPM etc.
Understand the business needs and priorities
Implement Agile methodology
Negotiate with the business to see what items (story points) are built and which are backlogged based on capacity
Face of the business for the development work getting done correctly
Overall accountability for Product Life Cycle Management
Business Requirements analysis
Expert in leading requirements workshops/sessions with multifunctional teams
Maps out business processes and identifies areas of transformation
Expert in translating business requirements into functional specifications
Leads business requirements and writes, manages, and clarifies user stories and requirements in agile framework
Explains to business how requirements may be implemented from a functional standpoint
Applies compliance requirements within the scope of responsibility, provides documentation, and participates in compliance activities as required
Communicates vision to technical teams, developers, and testers
Manages BA related work in the country/region
Program Management
Participates in setting up program teams in consultation with the PL leadership
Tracks progress of product development in the context of the larger program (scrum master owns day to day burn down charts)
Manage Vendor teams as needed
Reports back to the business on status on the delivery of features, functionality, and applications
Working closely with technical services team to report the performance of applications belonging to the product line
Has a combination of global and regional accountability depending on product line scope
Business/Technology Application Ownership
Maintain a solid business understanding of the entire application landscape and be the DRI for all business and technical aspects of the application
Financials: tracks all costs related to application and has a full understanding of application cost transparency
Partner with the business owner to ensure SLA is met
Overall accountability of application rationalization programs (DRI, virtualization, consolidation, decommission etc.)
Overall accountability to manage application lifecycle management plan for each application they are responsible
Coordinate application testing, documentation activities
Review and approve changes to the applications they are managing
Closely work with Enterprise architect team to implement application roadmap
CMDB management: Complete / correct inventory of applications available for architecture analysis and project planning; enable accurate and timely service management
Ensures necessary compliance and regulatory requirements are fulfilled
Qualifications
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or similar field
MBA from tier 1 institute
8-10 years IT experience, preferably in an FMCG or Pharma industry
Strong Commercial IT business processes and technology expertise
Senior Stakeholder Management Experience
Communication, Negotiation and Influencing skills
Strong analytical and presentation skills
Able to communicate and coordinate business requirements into technical requirements within a technical outsource environment
Experience in managing DMS, SFA, CRM, MDM, BI, TPM, LMS, etc.
