SUMMARY

To manufacture, visually inspect and package pipe in accordance with J-M Manufacturing Co., Inc. specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly to Total Housekeeping Management and ISO standards.

Demonstrates ability to meet qualification requirements.

Works under direction of the Supervisor.

Operate extruder machines and control panel.

Assist during changeovers.

Measurements specs on pipe and report problems to Supervisor and Q.C.

Identify visual defects in pipe.

Operate forklift to take units out to yard and move supplies.

Accurately calculate and make required puller speed adjustments.

Cut Q.C. testing samples as required.

Make miscellaneous minor repairs to equipment.

Use safe work practices and report hazardous conditions

Perform other miscellaneous jobs as directed.

Train inexperienced employees on the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS

None required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete reports.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as, fractions, percentages, decimals, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Having adequate sight capability of sight, hearing, and use of limbs to operate all powered vehicles. I.E. sweeper, forklifts.

Sight capabilities to distinguish proper products identification as well as warning and operational indicators.

Hearing capabilities to distinguish difference in warning alarm indicators and standard operation indicators.

Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling capabilities to handle job requirements such as operating, cleaning or packaging equipment and products.

Balancing to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching in all areas due to possible limited direct supervision and/or observation.

Ability to verbally communicate either face to face or via telephone with other employees to accomplish all assigned job requirements.

Hear and understand verbal communication whether it be face to face or via telephone.

See and unders and written communication.

Ability to conform by sight quality level of raw materials and products produced too determine acceptance or denial of each.

Climb and descend all ladders or steps whether fixed or portable on company facilities in order to access all areas if needed.

Lift up to 70 pounds and carry up to 30 feet.

Push or pull up to 2500 pounds up to 30 feet with the aid of material handling equipment.
