The Planner & Scheduler Manager will be the cornerstone of a department responsible for overseeing both factory planning and project scheduling independently, ensuring that the On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance is consistently met. This role is pivotal in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of both internal and external project timelines.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all project schedules from the Tendering Phase through to the delivery of equipment using industry-standard software tools.

• Define project baselines and track key project milestones (KPMs) to ensure compliance with established timelines.

• Proactively identify potential delays and implement corrective actions to mitigate any disruptions to the schedule.

• Develop and maintain contingency plans for addressing risks and potential project disruptions, aligning with Operational departments and Project Management.

• Engage within the wider EIBU Planning & Scheduling network supporting the principles of GVF (Global Virtual Factory) concept and related initiatives.

• Compile available working hours in the different departments that perform on hourly rates and assign resources effectively to ensure project milestones are met.

• Preparation of workload charts, including both current performance and future load based on Sales Forecasting (S&OP)

• Forecast resource needs (labor, equipment, materials) and ensure availability as per the project requirements.

• Close collaboration with Procurement Team to ensure timely acquisition of materials and resources.

• Develop and implement systems for aligning material and personnel availability with project operations and tasks.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in scheduling including modifications in the ERP system.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, Business Administration, or Industrial Management Engineering.

• Proven experience as a Planner, Scheduler, or in a similar role (5+ years preferred). Ideally within the engineered product environment

• Strong knowledge of scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar tools).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Hands-on experience in working within SAP environments and familiarity with ERP system.

• Experience in Sulzer equivalent industries is a plus.

• Proven experience in building and developing a planning and scheduling department from the ground up, including establishing processes, tools, and workflows.

• Analytical Skills: Ability to assess project requirements, plan effectively, and identify solutions to potential scheduling conflicts.

• Time Management: Skilled in managing competing priorities, ensuring deadlines are met, and resources are allocated effectively.

• Collaboration: Ability to work across teams and departments to ensure smooth project execution.

• Problem-Solving: Proactively identifies challenges and provides solutions to keep projects on track.

• Adaptability: Comfortable with adjusting plans in response to changes in project scope or resources.

• Native Spanish and Fluent English is a must.
