The Role

Eastman is hiring a IAM Engineer to join our Cybersecurity team which owns the custom security software, tools, and systems that protect against threats to our business and the network and technology utilized by our employees. As an IAM Engineer, you could share your knowledge with internal stakeholders as well as introduce innovative solutions in a dynamic environment. It is important that you are analytical, able to problem solve, and can explain your work to team members and management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis of user access rights and permissions across various systems and applications to ensure compliance with security policies, regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement IAM processes, controls, and workflows to manage user identities, roles, and access privileges.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of IAM policies, procedures, and guidelines to enhance the organization's security posture.

  • Participate in the design and implementation of identity provisioning and access management solutions, including integration with existing systems.

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in IAM and cybersecurity, and proactively recommend improvements to enhance the organization's security controls.

  • Provide support and guidance to end-users on IAM-related issues, including access requests, password resets, and account management.

  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to resolve technical issues related to IAM systems and tools.

  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to IAM activities, compliance audits, and security incidents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.

  • Proven experience as a Cyber IAM Analyst or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of IAM concepts, principles, and best practices.

  • Knowledge of IAM tools and technologies, such as identity provisioning, access management, and role-based access control (RBAC) systems.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and GDPR.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze access logs, reports, and security events.

  • Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and vulnerability scanning tools.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on maintaining accuracy and data integrity.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of cybersecurity and IAM.

  • Willingness to work the extra mile when needed.
