As the Group Manager Operations you will supervise a team of digital content associates and front line team managers, meaning that you will directly and indirectly be responsible for multiple teams. You will manage problems across one or more functions by delegating tasks, identifying roadblocks and recommending trade-offs. You will also be responsible for delivering on team goals, providing guidance or coaching to your direct reports and for hiring new talent. To succeed in this role, you will need to become an expert in one or more processes or functions, operate with high level of autonomy, and effectively manage operations and catalogue managers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage a 40-50 member team, including 3+ front line team managers to deliver on business goals related to content publishing, quality and data labelling

  • Define appropriate operational metrics aligned with business goals; establish processes for measuring, tracking, and driving the continuous improvement of these metrics

  • Track key metrics continuously, identify risks and gaps, and efficiently manage resources

  • Identify and evaluate areas of opportunity against business requirements

  • Analyse defects and develop programs that fix root causes, escalating when required

  • Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), processes and tools to recommend changes that have a positive impact on quality measures

  • Provide regular coaching and feedback to direct reports to help them develop functional and leadership capabilities

  • Exhibit and promote a culture of putting customers first

About the team

Along with two other sites (Chennai, India and San Jose, Costa Rica), the Prime Video Global Operations team partners with a wide range of stakeholders across the Prime Video (Program, Business, Partner Operations, Tech, Product, Research and Science, etc) to oversee asset deliveries, system processing and assembly, and on-time, defect free, and complete content publishing to Prime Video’s global audience. We obsess over ensuring that every search, discovery and playback interaction with Prime Video (PV) is device agnostic, defect free and results in a high engagement experience for Customers. Therefore, the DigiFlex Operations organization plays an essential role at Prime Video, ensuring that the content that powers our vision to be the premier source of global entertainment, is complete and correct.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience of directly managing 2+ front line managers

  • Experience of managing a 40+ member team

  • Experience in analysing data and best practices to assess performance drivers

  • Experience in influencing both external and internal stakeholders

  • Experience using Microsoft office tools including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook

  • Fluent in English both verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified or trained in Lean Six Sigma methodology

  • Experience and proficiency in Post house/Studios industry in the content publishing or quality management domain

  • Experience and understanding of digital media and/or digital video supply chain

  • Experience in data analysis, either through professional experience or education

  • Experience in content publishing, quality and data labelling
