Job Description

Building Engineering Services team is a highly qualified group of experts in offering the best solutions to international client’s needs all around the world.

Been part of Building & Services area in Spain, this team is at the forefront of the discipline to design the mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) systems required for a safe, comfortable and environmentally friendly operation of buildings. We embrace world class methodologies and technologies, including information rich Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to facilitate more efficient ways of working and design at all stages of the project life-cycle.

As part of the continued growth of our business, we are looking to hire an experienced Fire Protection & Risk Engineer who is looking to further develop his/her experience in delivering multi-disciplinary projects. These projects span a diverse range of construction sectors including among others, Industrial, Healthcare, Education, Leisure, Aviation, Commercial and Defense.

Working within a dynamic, highly motivated and driven team, you will be part of our project delivery and your contribution will be key to mentoring junior colleagues and managing moderate to large scale projects.

This position is based in our beautiful office in Madrid (Hybrid Remote Model).

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of fire protection expert opinions, reports, statements, fire protection verification and fire protection concepts.

  • Review and, if necessary, preparation of associated fire protection plans as well as fire brigade plans. Also create escape and rescue plans, if needed.

  • Analysis and evaluation of existing situations with regard to fire protection.

  • Analysis and evaluation of approval documentation with regard to fire protection issues.

  • Fire protection support during the implementation planning.

  • Advising property and specialist planners on fire protection issues.

  • Fire protection construction supervision.

Qualifications

  • BS in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or similar field will be essential.

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or industrial engineering with fire protection Engineering emphasis, from an accredited program, will be highly valued.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written).

  • At least, 5 years of related fire protection engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience.

  • Good knowledge in international regulations and standards (NFPA, BS, Country and regional fire codes, etc).

  • Proficiency in engineering calculation software for fire protection discipline.
