Role description

As an Associate Director, you will be a key contributor to the growth and development of our Strategic Consulting practice in Spain as we offer honest advice and practical guidance to our clients on the fields of Real Estate, Construction, People and Corporate Culture.

Our Strategic Consulting Team in Spain is composed by +45 fully dedicated consultants, all coming from reputable consulting firms and with focus on three main pillars:

• Investment Strategy: Support Real Estate investors taking investment related decisions (investment strategy support on new markets and niches, integrated due diligences, monetization plans, strategic plans, highest and best use projects…)

• Corporate Strategy: Support clients operating in all sectors except pure real estate solve their increasingly complex real estate and people issues (footprint optimization, new build feasibility programs, operating model design, cost optimization plans…)

• ESG: Support all type of clients with real estate related ESG solutions (decarbonization plans, LEED & BREEAM certifications, environmental due diligence, mobility studies, non-financial reporting…)

Working alongside a dedicated and diverse set of consultants, you will work alongside our Investment Strategy with a focus on Hotels sectors with real estate and operators clients to define and implement strategies that will deliver both short-term results and longer-term competitiveness through projects such as:

• Investment strategy definition: assist to real estate funds specialized in hotels to define an investment strategy in a new niche or market by analysing the demand drivers, stoppers and the gap with the current supply, get international benchmark’s, define the business and operating model and build up a business plan that gets the target returns.

• High and best use : Asses by a detailed analysis of the plot different demand drivers, what is the use that maximize a real estate asset or land.

• Turnaround plans: Analysis of ways to improve EBITDA for a hotel assets, expansion, internationalization and/or footprint optimization plans

• Due diligence projects: In the context of a potential Hotel transaction assist buyers or sellers to perform commercial / financial analysis of the opportunity of the market, review of BP hypothesis and give support in the deal issues to consider.

• MBA degree preferred with 5+ years of professional experience.

• Required experience in any of these areas:

• Hotel expansion or corporate development

• Hotel advisory or due diligence (commercial / financial) to Hotel investors/ operators.

• Experience managing proposal writing efforts; participating in pitches for consulting work; developing new business within existing accounts through client relationships.

• Passion for leading teams and mentoring colleagues.
