JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Student Organization Advising Specialist\'s principal duties will be to assist with Registered Student Organization (RSO) advising, development, accountability, and registration. This position will provide services, programs, and support for RSOs, their members, advisors, and UW affiliated departments. Additionally, this position may assist with campus administration of the Wisconsin Involvement Network (WIN), powered by the Anthology Engage software platform as well as have supervision responsibilities for student staff at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. This position will reside in the Student Activity Center and will share in some operational and coverage responsibilities, some evening hours will be required. Responsibilities: Oversees the daily management of programs, services, activities, facilities, policies and/or processes in order to support student success in various areas of student affairs. Works under broad, administrative direction with significant responsibility for assigned area(s) of responsibility. Responds to inquiries from University departments, educational institutions, the community, and/or external agencies. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment. 40% Plans, organizes, administers, and manages processes and operations related to assigned area(s) of responsibility 10% Monitors, evaluates, and modifies processes, procedures, and/or standards, ensuring alignment with the Institution\'s mission, values, goals, and objectives, as well as all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. 20% Advises and enforces Institution policies related to services in Student Affairs 5% Serves as the program or unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups 5% Schedules logistics and secures resources to support the operational plans of the program or unit 20% May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees Institutional Statement on Diversity: Diversity is a source of strength,...
