SHIVE-HATTERY GROUP INC Structural Engineer Early Career in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview Shive-Hattery\'s Madison, WI office is seeking a Design Professional - Structural; an early-career position with 3-7 years of experience. Qualifications Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering. License/Certification: PE License is preferred, but not required. Candidate should have passed the Fundamentals Of Engineering (FE) exam and designation as an Engineer Intern (EI) with interest in obtaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license with in the next year. Relevant experience in steel and concrete is essential; experience with wood and masonry is a plus. Experience with Revit, 3D software (Navisworks/Recap), structural engineering design software, and Microsoft Office is preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively within teams from other disciplines. Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to present design solutions confidently. Master\'s in Structural Engineering is preferred but not required. Ability to pass drug and background screenings required for work at most industrial sites. Requirements Design structural solutions for industrial, commercial, and educational projects, with a primary focus on industrial sectors. Collaborate with experienced engineers, technicians, and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs for our long-standing industrial clients both locally and nationally. Provide support in design and drawing production within the structural discipline. Perform shop drawing reviews, field data collection, and field data entry. Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Work under the guidance and mentorship of licensed structural engineers. Participate in site visits, which may require driving, climbing ladders, working on elevated platforms, and wearing PPE specific to client sites.
