Our Madison team is currently partnered with an incredible organization on the east side in search of an experienced Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. Throughout monthly close, you will also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting. The ideal candidate will also put their skills towards the development and implementation of accounting policies. Responsibilities:

• Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

• Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

• Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation

• Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request

• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls

• Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred

• 5+ years solid accounting experience

• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

• Full cycle payroll experience required

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
