JOB REQUIREMENTS: Software Development Engineer in Test - REMOTE Why you want to work at Flexion: We\'re looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test with an unwavering passion for designing meaningful, easy-to-use applications. Most of the work we do is on large-scale, enterprise-wide systems (both commercial and government)-this project in particular will help with supporting and modernizing a large educational application. What the job looks like: * Collaborate with teammates to architect, design, and implement test automation solutions to satisfy business needs. * Coordinate with teammates on interdependent work streams. * Comfortable working with all aspects of software development and test automation; including devops. * Ability to shift gears and jump on a critical issue along with other teams and resolve quickly. You have: * 8+ years of experience coding, with at least 4+ years focused on significant test suite automation in the context of browser-based web application development * Self-motivated with strong communication skills * Passion for learning new technologies and the ability to do so quickly * Proven experience working with Agile methodologies for delivering software * Experience collaborating to solve complex problems and implementing solutions. * Deep familiarity with Chrome browser Developer Tools for the purpose of debugging issues * Experience testing on different devices like iPad, Chromebook, Windows and Mac * Experience integrating axe-core and/or pa11y automation in test suites in addition to some experience in testing accessibility rich applications with tools such as JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver. * Experience automating the testing of complex, visually demanding and browser feature intensive web applications. * Knowledge and experience with unit tests and functional test frameworks and associated languages is a plus.
