Must be able to reliably commute or willing to relocate. In this role you will be primarily responsible for Video & Audio repair as well as all levels of repairs to customer-owned and Full Compass-owned equipment, including those requiring in-depth electrical or mechanical troubleshooting and component-level repairs. The Service Technician will assist with product inspections, custom wiring, and assembly jobs, and advise internal and external customers with technical inquiries. Essential Job Functions Inspect, test, diagnose, and repair customer and Full Compass System- owned equipment. Examples include amplifiers, audio mixers and recorders, powered speakers, turntables, CD and cassette players, intelligent lighting fixtures, electric pianos, synthesizers, and more. Research parts and work with the Parts Department to locate parts needed to repair equipment. Complete accurate estimates that include labor, parts, and materials. Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer policies. Contact customers when more information is needed for a diagnosis. Communicate findings and repair challenges to customers and non-technical staff so they can make informed decisions. Complete custom wiring or assembly jobs including custom audio cables or modification of audio connectors on lavalier and headset microphones. Demonstrate teamwork by working toward the team\'s customer service and financial goals. Work efficiently and complete repairs in a timely manner. Manage and prioritize multiple ongoing repair jobs and while adjusting to customer service concerns as directed by your manager. Maintain a high level of accuracy and quality by limiting the return of items with continuing problems, customer complaints, and unused or wasted parts and materials. Collaborate with other technicians to complete repairs that require more than one person and assist other technicians as needed. Perform functional inspections of returned products and communicate findings so that the appropriate steps can be taken to mitigate any losses.
