About the Role!

The Regional Market Development Manager, OEM & NATx for the Biosciences Division (BID) is a member of the marketing organization. Their main responsibility is to build awareness, go-to-marketing plans, and generate demand for Thermo Fisher Scientific OEM solutions to achieve revenue targets. This role involves developing and implementing customer-centric initiatives for molecular diagnostics and life science tools, in line with the global marketing strategy. Collaborating with Global Market Development Teams, Product Managers, Marketing Operations/Communication and Commercial Sales, you will work towards transforming marketing strategies into action that drives demand, revenue, new customer acquisition and loyalty.

Location/Division Specific Information

The Regional Market Development Manager position for the Biosciences Division of Thermo Fisher Scientific is a member of the North America Market Development team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the regional market development efforts for the Biosciences Division (BID) OEM & Nucleic Acid Therapeutics (NATx) portfolio, catering to customers in the diagnostics and life science tools industry.

  • Build engaging customer-facing messaging and sales tools to communicate the value proposition Thermo Fisher Scientific brands as a leading OEM supplier, the partner of choice directly to our customers through many different channels, including field sales.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, global market development and commercial, to capture technical information and insights vital for crafting effective sales & marketing materials.

  • Provide product, positioning and go-to-market strategy training and communication to advise sales teams on a regular basis.

  • Ensure that all customer-facing materials are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with the company's brand guidelines.

  • Discover the most relevant metrics to evaluate each stage of the customer's journey, enabling informed decision-making based on data.

  • Achieve financial and market goals for designated product portfolio. Perform and present detailed analyses & routine reporting around business performance and segmentation.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, advancements, and regulations related to molecular diagnostics and immunodiagnostics, and incorporate them into the sales collateral and presentations.

  • Additional responsibilities may include supporting events, tradeshows and sales meetings.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant life science field (biology, microbiology etc.)

  • Masters’ degree in life sciences and/or MBA in marketing or business preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably in molecular diagnostics or immunodiagnostics, and familiarity with OEM and custom commercial supply products.

Qualifications

  • Experience with marketing strategy, planning and execution; familiarity with life science research markets and competitors.

  • A proficient understanding of customer value proposition and demand/lead generation strategies

  • Ability to proactively participate in teams working through various levels of internal and external operating mechanisms to achieve goals of the company, customer, and colleagues.

  • Proven track record in creating customer-facing collateral that supports sales objectives and drives customer engagement.

  • Strong understanding of the relevant field and able to translate technical information into compelling messaging.

  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in content creation tools and MS Office software suite.

  • Proficient in exercising independent and analytical thinking with a commitment to continuous learning.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable to changes.

  • Ability to translate metrics into actionable business decisions.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00–$137,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
