JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Program Coordinator for the Office of Inclusion Education (OIE) within Student Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is primarily responsible for developing support services for student populations who are impacted by global violence and displacement due to war. The Program Coordinator develops holistic support programs that emphasize trauma informed care principles to support students\' academic success and cocurricular engagement, and works to facilitate connection between, and strengthen students\' access to, mental health and well-being support on-campus for students impacted and displaced by war. Additionally, the Program Coordinator consults with university services to provide educational opportunities to increase awareness of the specific characteristics and needs of students from war-torn backgrounds. Responsibilities: Advises multicultural student organizations and student leadership and affiliates, develops and executes programming, and serves on institutional committees to support multicultural students and their allies. 30% Provides consultation, resources, and referrals concerning multicultural affairs to various audiences 20% Assists organizations in developing and implementing sustainable leadership practices; and navigating established policies, procedures, and resource management strategies 20% Schedules logistics and secures resources for academic, cultural and social programs and events that contribute to the recruitment and retention of multicultural students and the enrichment of the institutional community 10% Serves as liaison to various committees regarding initiatives and best practices 10% Develops and implements individualized cocurricular engagement plans that assist students in navigating institutional structures 10% Provides crisis management, case management and follow-up plan as required, including coordinating with university services to support students in crisis Tasks: Guides first-generation student, immigrants, or students from refugee communities through academic structures including but not limited to class or semester withdrawal options, faculty communication, and academic support...
