JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: Join the Department of Radiology\'s growing team in a rewarding and fully remote role as a Post-Award Accountant! This position will support post-award activities related to financial summaries, salary allocations and corrections, salary and non-salary expenses for Principal Investigators, and make recommendations to PI\'s. This position will interact with PIs, department finance contacts, and research related activities. The incumbent will work under the direction of the post award financial manager. Responsibilities: Works directly with principal investigator and research staff to budget, monitor expenditures, and reconcile financial data for sponsored programs. May directly process and/or approve accounting transactions such as cost transfers, procurement, sub award management, and financial processing related to sponsored project management. May review and approve transactions on behalf of an intermediate unit or center. 45% Assists principal investigators with financial management of sponsored program budgets and directs day-to-day fiscal transactions 15% Prepares and processes financial reporting and/or invoicing information 15% Provides expertise and advice related to procurement and allowable charges 25% Reviews financial expenditures for accuracy on sponsored grants and contracts Institutional Statement on Diversity: Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison.
