Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

We are seeking elite students with the expertise and passion for solving challenging unique problems. You will use your knowledge and creativity to design and build innovative new systems from the ground up. You will be writing code, completing programming projects, and performing testing and debugging of Oracle software and/or work on multiple stages of data science projects, including data pipeline, aggregation, feature engineering, modeling and visualization. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies to tackle real-world problems in a collaborative, agile environment.

What You’ll Bring (Objective Minimum Qualifications):

To be considered for a Research Assistant Intern position in the Oracle Labs - Corporate Architecture organization, you must possess the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below. Please ensure that your application clearly indicates that you meet these OMQs, either on your resume and/or by uploading additional documents such as a transcript.

  • Will be enrolled in a PhD degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent science/engineering field during the 2025-2026 school year.

  • Are proficient (i.e., able to complete coding projects with no assistance) in at least one of the following programming languages:

  • C, C++, Java, Python, SQL, R

  • Have completed coursework, projects, internships, and or research in two or more of the following:

  • Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning / Natural Language Processing

  • Big Data / Data Structures / Algorithms

  • Computer Systems / Embedded Systems / X86 Architecture / Operating Systems

  • Distributed Programming

  • Multithreaded/Multi-Core Programming

  • Object Oriented Design

  • Software Architecture

  • Compilers

  • Outstanding research track record

  • Proficiency and interest in new research

  • Ability to develop a deep understanding of new technical tools and ideas rapidly and on your own

  • Must be enrolled in a university prior to and following internship completion

  • Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2025.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $18.99 to $53.00 per hour; from $39,500 to $110,240 per annum.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
