Responsibilities

Responsible for management of the day-to-day operation of the Control Room and its interactions with the lottery and vendors to ensure continuous system up-time and the highest level of operational efficiency.

• Ensures control room operates in a continuous and trouble-free manner. Troubleshoots problems through supervisor, shift leads and Computer Operators

• Coordinates the resolution to any production software or hardware issues

• Manages and schedules Computer Operators, directs work, and evaluates operational performance

• Maintains inventory and orders supplies when necessary

• Ensures performance plans, memos, and reports are distributed, understood, utilized, and made available to Computer Operations Team

• Assists in revising or establishing new systems to improve productivity and computer efficiency. Develops procedures and control mechanisms to improve operations and reduce operational errors

• Interfaces daily with customers and vendors

• Monitors system access and security of data

• Monitors, tracks and manages the configuration, accessing delivery process of software coding for the lottery--including games, parameters, odds and claims

• Verifies and analyzes the accuracy and quality of the hardware and software products through maintenance, attention to detail and work environment

• Provides recommendations for systems needs and all external and internal factors related to the control room operations

• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Responsible for annual audits

• Overseas the scheduling software updates and patching as well as the development of software requirements

• Responsible for incident and problem management

• Responsible or maintenance of critical facilities equipment

• Maintains disaster recovery and emergency response plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

• Seven plus years’ experience in data center operations environment preferred

• Technical skills required of a Senior Computer Operator

• Strong troubleshooting and incident resolution skills

• Working knowledge of IP Protocol, LAN/WAN topology intermediate knowledge of associated monitoring and troubleshooting tools (HPOV, HNS vision, Spectrum analyzers, solarwinds, whatsupgold), Data Center network equipment (firewalls, switches, routers, etc.), and network cable specifications

• Excel and PowerPoint expertise

• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

• Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize work and manage multiple deadlines

• Must maintain a high sense of ownership, be self-motivated with initiative, and be able to effectively direct a team

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $60,989 - $200,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
