JOB REQUIREMENTS: Advanced Assembly, Inc., located in University Research Park on the west side of Madison, is looking to add a Maintenance Technician I to our well-trained and experienced staff. Advanced Assembly, Inc. is an electronics manufacturing services provider of electronic assemblies and products, including the Captioned Telephone (CapTel). This full-time position offers a second shift schedule of Monday Thursday, 2:45pm 12:45am, a competitive starting wage and a full benefits package. Wage depending on experience. Job Description: The Maintenance Technician I performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. When maintenance has been completed, the employee will assume a Machine Operator role. Primarily, this is an entry-level Maintenance position. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (Nothing in this job description restricts management\'s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time). Possess the ability to follow directions, read from and interpret written instructions. Make sound judgments when operating production equipment. Organize responsibilities to achieve maximum output to meet production and quality requirements. Understand and follow all applicable quality system procedures and perform all assigned responsibilities outlined in the quality system. Keep work areas neat and organized. Follow established product handling procedures consistently. Work in a team environment. Perform Level I Machine Operator duties. Perform maintenance and minor repairs to equipment. Performs other job-related duties as assigned by primary supervisor. Knowledge of maintenance and equipment repairs is a plus, but not required. Ability to read, speak and understand both verbal and written instructions in the English language. Knowledge of Surface Mount, Wave Solder, AOI or coating equipment is preferred but not required. Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word. Good verbal and written skills to communicate well in a diverse team environment. Ability to fill out daily records and logs. Ability to distinguish colors, fine circuit detail, and tones. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical ability to move freely and have sufficient reflexes to perform the same tasks repeatedly using hands to complete the task at a constant rate so the assembly line will not be interrupted. Hand-eye coordination necessary to work with small electronic parts. Ability to lift up to 40lbs on a regular basis.
