Job Description: The Maintenance Technician I performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. When maintenance has been completed, the employee will assume a Machine Operator role. Primarily, this is an entry-level Maintenance position. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (Nothing in this job description restricts management\'s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time). Possess the ability to follow directions, read from and interpret written instructions. Make sound judgments when operating production equipment. Organize responsibilities to achieve maximum output to meet production and quality requirements. Understand and follow all applicable quality system procedures and perform all assigned responsibilities outlined in the quality system. Keep work areas neat and organized. Follow established product handling procedures consistently. Work in a team environment. Perform Level I Machine Operator duties. Perform maintenance and minor repairs to equipment. Performs other job-related duties as assigned by primary supervisor. Knowledge of maintenance and equipment repairs is a plus, but not required. Ability to read, speak and understand both verbal and written instructions in the English language. Knowledge of Surface Mount, Wave Solder, AOI or coating equipment is preferred but not required. Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word. Good verbal and written skills to communicate well in a diverse team environment. Ability to fill out daily records and logs. Ability to distinguish colors, fine circuit detail, and tones.
