The Lead Security Officer II (certified) is responsible for providing security services. This primarily includes maintaining a safe environment by conducting patrols, responding to calls for service, and providing assistance to patients, visitors and staff. This occurs in several areas at the hospital, Park campus, or at other owned or related facilities. The Senior Security Officer acts to assist staff/patients/visitors, enforces parking rules, monitors video cameras, escorts staff and patients, controls verbally and physically difficult subjects, conducts investigations, removes the deceased, and assists with emergency/disaster events.
This position acts as a lead trainer, training Security Officers on such matters as Standard Operating Procedures, Emergency Plans, and other security skills and duties. This position will be responsible for training new and existing employees. During the orientation period, they also assist in the evaluation of new Security Officers.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
One year of professional experience in public safety, fire/EMS, healthcare, military, customer service or a community-based position.
A valid WI Driver’s License in good standing and ability to obtain and maintain employer driving approval.
Within 90 days of hire, obtain basic certification: International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety. Certification must be maintained to remain in the level II Security Officer
Must complete training certifications in required trainings in Defense and Arrest Tactics (DAAT), Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB), HAZMAT, and other required trainings within 6 months of hire or as determined by supervisor.
Ability to complete required trainings in Defense and Arrest Tactics (DAAT), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI), HAZMAT, and other required trainings.
Must complete HAZMAT, FEMA, and other trainings, as identified, within 6 months of hire or as determined by supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or 60 college credits in Police Science, Criminal Justice, or related field
