SUMMARY: Provides physics expertise as part of collaborative design team to develop product capabilities to meet project timelines. Contributes to project success as Subject Matter Expert in imaging physics, including x-ray generation, detection, and image corrections.REPORTING TO/DEPARTMENT: Reports to the Manager of the Imaging Components group in the Imaging Systems functional area of Accuray\'s Department of Research & Development.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor and represent Imaging Systems in product requirements, project planning, and global industry and regulatory standards Develop and design to top level product requirements to define and achieve specified performance of imaging subsystems Characterize and measure various components of the imaging chain to model, specify, develop and verify the overall performance of the imaging system In conjunction with sub-systems or functions (Source, Detection, Electro-mechanical systems, Reconstruction, other), develop calibration techniques and support tools to meet image quality specifications and metrics Provide design and test documents supporting the functions being developed Participate with the entire Imaging Systems team to develop strategies and design...
