JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: University Housing is looking for individuals to join our Dining and Culinary Services Food Service Assistant Advanced team! The Food Service Assistant Advanced preps and serves food according to quality and safety standards to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve departmental food service goals. Starting wage for Food Service Assistant Advanced is \$17.75 per hour. We\'re also offering a \$2,000 to \$4,000 hiring bonus and significant night and weekend shift differentials. This position includes paid time off, free meal for every shift worked, state employee benefits and a \$1,000 referral bonus for each person hired. Responsibilities: Prepares food and completes related tasks according to quality and safety standards to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve departmental food service goals. 20% Performs routine food preparation activities such as portioning, chopping food, and serving food to customers 10% Assists and guides student workers 10% Prepares a variety of basic dishes such as sandwiches and salads, and assists in the preparation of more complex dishes 20% Greets customers, answers questions, and provides basic information regarding food preparation and associated activities 10% Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas 15% Adheres to federal, state, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures 15% Coordinate and perform the set-up and clean-up of preparation, production, service areas, catering events, and equipment. Tasks: Demonstrate and role model exceptional customer service. Interact with English speaking customers while displaying knowledge of food products, allergens, and food safety. Perform duties in a high-volume, dynamic, student residential dining environment. Provide support and assist as needed in the implementation of plans and procedures in the event of an emergency.
