UnitedHealth Group FedRAMP Technical Program Manager - Remote in Madison, Wisconsin

We are looking for a FedRAMP Technical Program Manager who can lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure network infrastructures for government agencies. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) across multiple cloud platforms. You will oversee the roadmap and provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. You will have experience with IL4 and integrating with the Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet) over BCAP. You will be involved and collaborating with Information Security in the assessment and authorization process with multiple government agencies. You will also be familiar with a hybrid deployment model that integrates cloud and on-premises data centers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical design, implementation, maintenance, and roadmap of secure network infrastructures for government agencies across multiple cloud platforms

  • Ensure technical compliance with FedRAMP and IL4 standards and policies for cloud networking

  • Partner with InfoSec on security assessments, audits, and implementing remediation actions

  • Provide training and mentorship to engineers and other team members on cloud networking concepts, technologies, and best practices

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineers, architects, project managers, and security analysts, to deliver high-quality solutions

  • Research and evaluate new technologies and trends in cloud networking

  • Document and update network designs, configurations, and procedures

  • Develop and implement network policies, standards, and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements

  • Collaborate with InfoSec on audits and reviews to ensure compliance with FedRAMP and IL4 security controls and identify any gaps or vulnerabilities

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering & leadership roles, with at least 3 years in cloud networking

  • Expertise in cloud networking technologies, such as virtual private clouds, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, gateways, and DNS

  • Proficiency in multiple cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

  • Solid knowledge of FedRAMP and IL4 compliance requirements and best practices for cloud networking

  • Understanding of the NIPRNet and its role in cloud networking for government agencies

  • Experience working through the assessment & accreditation process with multiple government agencies

  • Familiarity with a hybrid deployment model that integrates cloud and on-premises data centers

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

  • United States citizenship

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a suitability or determination of eligibility for a Confidential/Secret or Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • Certifications in cloud networking, such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Google Cloud Network Engineer, or IBM Cloud Network Engineer

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CSSP)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable.
