SMX is seeking a Director ofStrategy & Growth, with experience successfullysellingOracle Core Tech solutionstoFederalcustomers.This position willreport into SMX’s Enterprise Systems & Solutions(ESS)Division, andpartner withESS business leaders,SMX Growth organization (BD and Capture), in pursuit of organic program growth and net newopportunities across the Federal market.

The candidate willbe responsible for the ESS Strategy to drive and execute Federalgrowth andwill have an emphasis on core-tech pursuits.Successfulcandidate will demonstratedeep experience in core technology solutionsales andwill be capable of having technical strategy discussions with both internal stakeholders and clients.Deep Federal marketexpertiseand knowledge of trends, spending patterns, and acquisition strategies isrequired. This role will alsobe responsible forpipeline hygiene in partnership withbusiness leaders and project/program management.The ideal candidate must be able toleveragea deep mission understanding of customers’ needs andobjectives.This role is a unique opportunity tospearhead growthin a hands-on sales leadershipcapacity.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

This roleis responsible fordeveloping and executing a core techgrowthstrategy for SMX’s ESSbusiness:marketanalysis, solution development,developing sales toolkits – presentations, internal sales enablement training,sales collateral creation.You willhaveownership ofgrowthobjectivesfor theBusiness Unit.

You will perform market analysis, strategic business planning, capture strategy/solution development, customer engagement and support proposal responses. This position will include oversight of customer contact and positioning; management of an opportunity pipeline, forecasting, and capture management; teaming interactions; and coordination with other internal business development, program management, solution architecture, and growth resources available across the company in the development of winning proposals.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Clearancerequired:Top Secret

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of10years of related experience in the FederalEnterprise Solution Marketplace

  • Extensive experience (minimum7years) selling or supportingOracle Core Techsolutions for theFederalmission; Working knowledge of missions, cultures, organizational components, leadership, major programs, challenges, and buying trends 

  • Track recordofsolution sellingand winning >$10M multi-year new business RFPs

  • Established relationships withtarget accountsclients, stakeholders, and influencers, withdemonstratedability to develop and foster new relationships 

  • Experience interacting with and briefing senior government and industry acquisition officials 

  • Understanding the full business development lifecycle and has been successful in various customer domains within the federal markets

  • Proactive, organized, andhighly skilledprofessional

  • Experience with contributing to proposals and the RFI, RFQ, or RFP process

  • In-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape and existing contracts within thetarget accountsMarket Place

  • Strong communicationand presentation skills, whilemaintaininga positive attitude,strong drive for results

  • Collaborative and proactive work across SMX to achieve broader company growthobjectiveswhilemaintainingconnectivity to the program/contract executing managers 

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environmentdemonstratingteamwork,innovationand excellence 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Additionalknowledge and experience with adjacent capabilities in the areas of Enterprise IT;Cyber Operations, ITSM and Managed Services; Data Center, Cloud and Cloud Migration; Data Transport and Systems Integration; Application Development and Modernization; Big Data and Data Analytics is a plus

  • Knowledge or experience with On-Prem and/or cloud ERP products such as Oracle, SAP, Workday, Salesforce is a plus

The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications. The proposed salary for this position is:

$210,000—$315,000 USD
