Description

Job Purpose:

The Director provides leadership and oversight for multi-state operations of iLIFE, a fiscal services agency. The Director is responsible for optimizing operational processes and infrastructure and executes strategic projects to impact program quality and growth.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Oversee effective program operations Works with the management team to develop and implement procedures for daily operations aligned with funders/oversite agencies’ expectations and contract requirements

  2. Enhance program operations Works cooperatively with teams to coordinate and monitor program quality, ensure quality outcomes, facilitate continuous improvement strategies to position iLIFE as an industry leader

  3. Maintain and monitor program contract compliance; manage program audits by funders and external auditors

  4. Drive financial stability by managing expenses, meeting program financial targets, and promoting optimal utilization

  5. Direct data collection and reporting and operational/quality metrics, support data analysis, and lead decision making to ensure optimal operations and drive performance excellence

  6. Responsible for the business and culture development by driving iLIFE strategic and program goals and performance with compassion and collaboration

  7. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans and goals for iLIFE to align with the agency’s strategic direction

  8. Build collaborative relationships Network with key contacts, develop ongoing collaborative communications with funders, and establish networks within long-term care and fiscal management fields

  9. Serve as a public representative for the agency and affiliates promoting current and future CFI and affiliate operations

Leadership Responsibilities:

  1. Performs human resources responsibilities for employees which includes interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, employee development, performance evlauations, compensation changes, resoution of employee concerns, corrective actions, termination, and overall employee morale.

  2. Develops and recommends operating and capital budget and controls expensures within approved budget objectives.

  3. Responsible for ensuring that personal actions, and the action of employees supervised comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to funders, contracts, and CFI business.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure and Credentials: (Where appropriate, education and/or experience may be substituted.)

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business, financial, or technology related field; Master’s degree/MBA preferred.

Minimum Required Experience: Minimum of 6 years of work experience related to the delivery of fiscal services, payroll or similar fiscal/business functions.

Must have minimum of 3 years of demonstrated personnel management experience.

Must have minimum 3 years demonstrated financial management, budgeting, and/or utilization management experience.

Demonstrated experience managing software solution/IT related projects is preferred.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  1. Business acumen to ensure operational excellence and promote business growth opportunities

  2. Technical savvy to use and direct use of a variety of complex software systems and equipment for on-site and remote business operations

  3. Finance, payroll, and tax knowledge necessary to direct fiscal services

  4. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or PMP methodology, certification is preferred

  5. Ability to analyze data, identify trends and prepare executive-level reporting

  6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and use sound judgment to make independent decisions effectively managing daily operations according to contract expectations, policies, procedures, and CFI values.

  7. Ability to demonstrate flexibility and willingness to shift priorities in accordance with program and agency demands.

  8. Ability to effectively communicate thoughts, ideas, and information both orally and in writing to a diverse audience.

  9. Ability to build effective teams including strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with persons from a variety of different backgrounds and experiences in a professional and courteous manner.

  10. Skill and ability to seek solutions using appropriate methodologies. Problem solving ability to apply an appropriate combination of independent thinking, consultation with relevant team members and the collection of facts and data.

  11. Must be able to communicate with people using Home & Community Based Services, providers, advocates, and team members in an effective manner via the telephone, in person, and electronically.

  12. Knowledge base of the long-term care programs available in Wisconsin is preferred

Physical Requirements, Visual Acuity, and Work Conditions:

Physical Requirements: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Occasionally ascends/ descends stairs at various client residences to complete home visits. The person in this position needs to move about inside the participant’s residence and must be able to make observations of the participant and home environment during home visits. Must be able to detect smells to address participant health concerns and concerns related to the participant’s home environment.

Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal.

Working Conditions: None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
