JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: Are you curious about cancer pharmacology? Do you want to be part of clinical trials of new anticancer agents and chemoprevention? The UW Carbone Cancer Center is looking for a Client-Based Researcher to process, track, store, and ship collected biological specimens as an essential part of the clinical trials. The Sample Acquisition Service (SAS) is a core service of the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC), part of the Drug Development Core Cancer Pharmacology Laboratory. Within the core you will work with an online database, provide specimen processing and storage at optimal temperatures, ship daily, and coordinate research materials. Additional activities may include making solutions, pipetting, and utilizing other laboratory techniques and equipment. Collections are occasionally made outside of regular hours which will require some flexibility. Responsibilities: Designs methodology, conducts data collection and analysis, and prepares reports for client-based research. 5% Assists with the development of research methodologies and procedures according to client-based objectives and specifications 5% Identifies concerns and recommends solutions to leadership 40% Collects and analyzes basic research data, conducts experiments and interviews, and documents results according to established policies and procedures 10% Prepares reports and materials and disseminates information to appropriate entities 10% Reviews and edits...
