Position Overview The Bioinformatics Engineer I will be responsible for the monitoring, collection and analysis of data produced by assays, software applications, production and development pipelines supporting on market and under development products by Exact Sciences and for contributing to new algorithms and applications to support platforms and products being developed by our company. Essential Duties include but are not limited to the following: Contribute to the development of analytical pipelines, software, web application and data visualizations to support the development of novel assays, improvement of assays under development, and hypothesis testing requested Product Development and Computational Biology team. Collect and document product and software requirements and findings from analyses and code developed and executed by themself and others. Write and optimize SQL queries against MSSQL database. Assist with the development of Python programs of medium to high complexity. Perform accurate, complete, timely collection, validation, and tracking of research, commercial, and manufacturing data. Assist with the construction of datasets and visualizations for reporting. Ability to perform basic data analysis Maintain accurate documentation of programs and procedures. Assist with the integration of software components into pipelines and web applications. Develop sufficient understanding and utilization of research, commercial, and manufacturing data management systems, processes, and procedures. Provide functional expertise to development, study, and process teams. Ability to integrate and apply feedback in a professional manner. Ability to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality. Ability to deliver quality results in a timely manner. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment. Well-organized and detail oriented. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
