JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Research Administrator in the Department of Dermatology, plays a crucial role as a senior member of the administrative team, overseeing and advancing the research mission encompassing basic, clinical, and translational research. This position manages and supervises a diverse team of research personnel, ensuring efficient pre-award processes and compliance with operational policies spanning financial, administrative, and staffing domains. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving programmatic transactions throughout sponsored project life cycles to uphold regulatory standards. Serving as the primary liaison, this position engages with internal and external stakeholders, providing vital organizational information and advocating for the department\'s interests. Additionally, this position involves oversight and execution of critical tasks related to proposal submission, contract negotiation, award setup, financial compliance, and reporting, ensuring seamless operational support for all departmental research initiatives. Responsibilities: Leads operations and personnel related activities in one or more areas of sponsored programs, grants, contracts, or research administration through the grant life cycle from proposal preparation through closeout. Develops and oversees implementation of operations and strategic planning to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements within a unit. Leads a significant programmatic unit and personnel. 20% Implements research administration operational policies and procedures including financial, administrative, staffing, and compliance 20% May review and approve programmatic transactions spanning the life-cycle of sponsored projects to ensure compliance with policies and procedures 30% Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees 10% Serves as the unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups providing organizational information and representing the interests of the unit 10% Executes...
