Contribute to a stellar mission and continued growth as an Accounting Manager for a Madison area not-for-profit organization. Robert Half Madison has partnered up to search for a dynamic candidate who possesses solid not-for-profit accounting skills and has had prior team management responsibility. The Accounting Manager will play a significant role in overseeing the accounting department and assisting in financial management of the organization. Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting department, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and improvement of systems and policies related to financial operations

• Assist CFO with annual audits and maintain the implementation of accounting policies and procedures

• Strong financial knowledge and experience, with proficiency in GAAP, NFP accounting, and fund accounting software

• Coordinate monthly financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders

• Attend managerial level meetings and trainings

• Ensure organizational compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory requirements

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• 7+ years accounting experience, preferably within not-for-profit space

• 3 years of team management experience is ideal

• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and NFP accounting

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

• Familiarity with Single Audit (non-profit) procedures
