Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Madison, Wisconsin. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting our finance and accounting departments with key tasks including bookkeeping and accounting. This role is integral to maintaining the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable entries, along with payroll and payroll tax filings.

• Conduct thorough reconciliation of credit card and bank accounts.

• Manage the design and implementation of the company's bookkeeping processes.

• Regularly track expenses and assess financial budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.

• Handle the creation and modification of financial documents in collaboration with the Accounting team.

• Engage with clients as necessary through email and phone communication.

• Assist with administrative duties as and when required.

• Ensure a high level of attention to detail in settling financial books, including managing incoming and outgoing funds. Requirements • Proficiency in Benefits Payroll is required

• Ability to handle Multi-state Payroll is necessary

• Must be skilled in making accurate Accounting Entries

• Familiarity with Benefits Administration is essential

• Proficient in making Journal Entries

• Experience in managing Ledger Entries is a must

• Ability to issue Manual Checks when necessary
