This is a Finance Internship - Program Finance position located in Madison, MS.

Overview: V2X's intern program offers paid business positions to provide students with real work experience and exposure to the Aerospace and Defense industry. V2X is seeking students interested in gaining valuable experience in finance, financial planning and analysis, financial systems, and program finance at our offices in Madison, MS, Reston, VA, and Greenville, SC. As a Finance intern, you will assist and have the opportunity to work cross-functionally while working with teams and alongside business leaders. You will be responsible for completing day-to-day assignments and projects (as assigned). These projects provide opportunities to add value to the organization and may influence growth and financial profitability.

Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include performing routine and semi-routine work involving a variety of professional assignments within the Finance Department and requiring the use and application of Finance and Accounting principles. This is a 10-week program supporting the Finance team. Assists with SAP project setup. Prepares and analyzes cost reports and budgets. Reviews projects for mischarging errors. Prepares and submits Journal Entries to correct. Assists in the preparation of financial forecasts. Interacts with Program Managers to understand operational and financial performance of contracts. Other projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements: To be eligible, the candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and must have completed at least 60 semester hours in Accounting/Finance related discipline.  Must be in good academic standing and have a CGPA of 2.7 or higher.  Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint. The position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as a drive for customer satisfaction. The successful candidate must be able to follow directions, ask for clarification, demonstrate business aptitude, and solid analytical and problem-solving skills. The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills and must be able to learn and adapt to new technologies. US Citizenship is required. As a Government Contractor, this position requires the employee to have access to premises which are, OR requires the employee to perform duties that are, subject to national security requirements of the United States under government contracts that impose US Citizenship requirements for such positions.

Physical Requirements: Employees in this position must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.  May require the ability to travel by air or auto.  May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and a shop coat.
