System One has an immediate need for a Senior Structural Engineer. This long-term contract position will be responsible for working with other engineers and designers to prepare design change packages for modifications at operating nuclear plants.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct field walkdowns to determine existing configuration of plant structures/systems/components.

• Prepare scoping documents to determine extent of modifications required.

• Prepare cost estimates for engineering/design activities.

• Prepare design documents including drawings, specifications and calculations.

• Lead design review meetings and address customer comments on design documents/deliverables.

• Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in preparation of engineering change packages (EC’s), with knowledge of Standard Design Process.

• BS degree from an accredited university – mechanical engineering preferred.

• Minimum 8 years experience in design of modifications in commercial nuclear plants.

• Must be able to demonstrate adaptability; must be proficient in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues within a nuclear power plant environment.

• PE registration and experience supporting Entergy Nuclear are preferred.

• Position can be hybrid remote or remote from office, must be able to travel to plant sites when needed.

• Must be able to obtain unescorted access at an operating nuclear plant.

• Position requires excellent communication skills and ability to interface with customers.
