National Sales Manager, Rare Diseases & Rare Blood Disorders

Join Sanofi as our National Sales Manager, Rare Diseases/Rare Blood Disorders to motivate and lead a team of experienced Hospital Specialist Representatives to achieve business performance objectives. The National Sales Manager RD/RBD will manage a team across three specialties, including Genetic Medicine/Neurology & Haematology, with broad goals encompassing both disease awareness and market share attainment.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of RD/RBD Clinical Science Associates to achieve agreed objectives in relation to sales, distribution, market share, business development and customer relations across the RD/RBD markets.

  • Coach and develop the RD/RBD sales team, with a focus on ensuring the skills and capabilities of the sales team are constantly evolving to make the best use of advancing technologies and in order to continue adding value to customers.

  • Ensure specific sales strategies exist for each sales territory. Drive the execution of these territory specific sales plans.

  • Develop recommendations and ongoing review of customer segmentation and targeting.

  • Analyse monthly sales reports in depth – detailing actual performance to budget and performance to objectives, and primary actions planned for the following month to ensure attainment of sales target. Ensure that the Commercial head is kept aware of achievements and / or issues within the business – at both a regional and national level.

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Australian marketplace and ensure that all relevant head office staff are made aware of any changes which may impact on the business.

About you

Essential Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ management / supervisory experience within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Sales Management Experience at a National level.

  • Proficiency in business analysis.

  • Significant rare diseases or specialty care experience.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a competitive environment.

  • Experience managing OPEX would be an advantage.

Essential Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field e.g. Business, Commerce, Marketing, Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine.

  • Medicines Australia Code of Conduct.
