Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a skilled Network Engineering and Operation Lead with a TS/SCI clearance to support KDS and our government customer in Macon, GA.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity engineering and operations. This role involves managing, deploying, and administering cybersecurity tools, coordinating security-related activities, ensuring security considerations in the Secure System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and providing security engineering support to IT projects. This position allows for maximum telework but requires the candidate to live within 50 miles of the work location.

Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing, deploying, and administrating cybersecurity tools such as Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM), Identity-Credential-Access Management (ICAM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and more.

  • Coordinating with system owners and stakeholders to ensure appropriate logging requirements are met.

  • Incorporating security and privacy considerations in all phases of the SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Designing, developing, integrating, and supporting tools for security testing automation.

  • Providing security engineering support to IT projects and ensuring secure and effective delivery of business objectives.

  • Implementing custom Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions into OPM's cybersecurity program.

  • Providing security expertise for Security Control Assessments (SCAs) and access control systems.

  • Supporting the design of DevSecOps and secure Enterprise Data Lake capabilities.

  • Performing system administration, configuration, patching, and optimization of cybersecurity tools and devices.

  • Creating compliance content, maintaining security tool inventory, and integrating cybersecurity components into CI/CD pipelines.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering and operations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.

  • AZ-900, Cisco, and Azure certifications.

  • Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity tools, technologies, and best practices.

  • TS/SCI Clearance

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
