Monitor Installation Technician

Shift: 1st 7am-4pm

Job Description

Contractors will visit current customer sites to install CO2 monitors. This is low voltage work, similar to installing fire alarms in residential settings. Due to new regulations on CO2, this position involves installing monitors directly to systems using CAT 5 cabling.

Responsibilities

  • Visit customer sites to install CO2 monitors

  • Perform light low voltage work similar to residential fire alarm installation

  • Install monitors using CAT 5 cabling

  • Drive around town to various client locations

  • Use a smartphone for GPS, taking pictures of installs, and documenting mileage

  • Communicate politely with customers and explain the purpose of the visit

  • Document daily work and provide information at the end of each day

Essential Skills

  • Experience with low voltage or light electrical work

  • 2 years of experience in light construction, mechanical, or electrical

  • Ability to use a smartphone for GPS and documentation

  • Experience driving for work

  • Possession of necessary tools and ladder

  • Reliable transportation for 400 miles per week

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Honest and independent personality

  • No specific education or certifications required

  • Experience documenting work with a cell phone

  • Ability to politely communicate with customers

Work Environment

The work environment involves traveling to various customer sites across the Greater Bay Area (Concord-San Jose-Napa). You will start your day at the shop before heading out. The job requires independent work with only two days of training. Shifts are typically from 7am to 3pm, with the possibility of starting as early as 6:30am on some days. Flexibility to work weekends if needed is required.

This is a Contract position based out of Macon, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00
