THIS POSITION:
We are seeking a skilled Traffic Control General Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in traffic management and control, ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic in construction zones.
Responsibilities:
- Implement traffic control plans to maintain safety and minimize disruptions
- Perform job site evaluations
- Must be willing to travel
- Lead traffic control division of day-to-day operations
- Oversee the safe completion of daily activities
- Operate company trucks and miscellaneous hand tools
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and daily equipment inspections
- Communicate effectively with team members, drivers & leadership
- Follow federal, state, local and company laws, rules, and regulations
- Understand DOT requirements
- Must be willing to answer call and schedule crews
Experience:
The ideal candidate should possess some of the following skills:
- Have at least 4+ years in traffic control management
- TCS certified
- Knowledge of construction estimating and management
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for traffic control devices
- Experience with budgeting and cost control in traffic projects
- Knowledge of bidding on traffic projects
